This morning, after the Ryan/Romney ticket was unveiled in Virginia, Mitt Romney "declared Paul Ryan the intellectual leader of the GOP". This was right after Romney introduced Ryan as the next President of the United States, which some news outlets erroneously took as a gaffe. Politico reports that Romney has canceled all TV interviews without further comment. Meanwhile, the UK's Guardian is reporting that the choice of Paul Ryan has delighted both sides of the party divide "in equal measure." Ryan, says Bloomberg's Business Week, ranks as a top fundraiser with backing by banks, so the Comeback Team GoBackTeam will have no problems lining its coffers leading up to the general election. Not one to be blind-sided by these kinds of rapid developments, the Obama campaign is already well-prepared for the matchup against 'radical' Ryan, says the Washington Post.
